But seriously, I made this design years ago and decided to redo it after seeing masses of people pledge their allegiance to authoritarians rather than their own values. It was a cop that killed jesus at the behest of an authoritarian and if you place your loyalties in bad actors with nefarious goals instead of relying on your own moral sense of right and wrong, you will, too. 

As a millenial American who grew up in and then left the church during the rise of evangelical thinking that focuses on punishing one another rather than understanding, the reaction of JD Vance to the Pope condeming American deportation policies stirs up a flur of anger that I have felt before and will feel again. 

Love your neighbor is not an adage that comes with caveats. It's not love your neighbor if you have any left after loving yourself. It's just love your neighbor. See others in the same light that you see yourself, your family, your community. You deserve dignity because everyone deserves dignity.
